She has always shared special bonds with each of her brothers. Ron was the over-protective and over-bearing older brother, since he was closest in age and had more knowledge of what was going on in her life. Despite the fact that he could be stubborn, hard-headed and hypocritical, he was always truly there for her and watching out for her -- which she genuinely appreciated. Next were the twins, who she has grown closest with over the years. Their humor and pranks gave her her excellent sense of humor, and allow her to see the light in sometimes even the stickiest situation. While sometimes they can be a pain, and often try to experiment their products on Ginny, they would give their lives to protect her -- and she would do the same for them. Percy instilled his work ethic upon Ginny, and it was thanks to that that she succeeded as well as she did in her years at Hogwarts. While the trouble between Percy and the family was around, Ginny still loved him -- that would never change. No matter how pig-headed he might be, he was her brother, and that would never change. Bill and Charlie were the oldest and, as such, didn't have much time for Ginny by the time she was old enough to seek them out. She idolized them none the less, as they both held the most exciting jobs. As for her sisters-in-law, she rarely has any interaction with Gabrielle. Fleur, however, .. Ginny originally could not stand her, and often referred to her as "Phlegm." Nowadays, though, she has come to terms with the fact that Fleur really does love her brother, and she has grown to even like Fleur. Ginny is close with both her parents, although moreso her mother. Being as they are the only two women in the Weasley clan, they share a special bond. Whenever Ginny needed "womanly advice," she would go to her mother. Ginny and her mother shared many a talk regarding Harry and her feelings for him. And lately, she has been talking to her mother about the nightmares she's been having. However, she is quite the "daddy's girl" as well. Her father is often busy with Ministry work, but seeing as she now works with the Ministry as well, they often encounter each other moreso than when she was younger. Her father, still busying himself with experimenting on Muggle items, often seeks Ginny for help or explanations about the items. MISCELLANEOUS Wand: Length; 11 1/3 inches Core; Hippogriff feather Wood Type; Willow Patronus: Lion Boggart: Tom Riddle in the form of his schoolboy self. INSIGHT First impression: A Weasley, obviously, by the hair and freckles. Behavior/Personality: Ginny grew up with six brothers, which allowed her to become a rough-and-tumble sort of girl. She is by no means a tomboy -- anymore -- but she is far from a weak-minded girl. She is stubborn, strong-willed, and a hard worker. She has a penchant for breaking rules and has a large sense of humor -- both which she thanks Fred and George for. Goals/Dreams: To find true happiness. Quirks/Habits: Has a habit of dazing off into dreamland, usually thinking about her past and when things were happier -- before all the death and destruction of the war. Chews on her quills, so she generally uses Honeyduke's sugar quills. Still excellent at the Bat Bogey Hex. She doesn't exactly blush when embarrassed, but her ears turn red. APPEARANCE Ginny stands at 5’9 1/2”, with a slim, athletic build. She has fair skin that is generously speckled with freckles, and hazel eyes. Her hair is a darker shade of red and thick, falling to her shoulders and usually worn down these days. When outside of work, she usually dresses in muggle attire -- mainly in very airy or "hippy" styled clothes that usually consist of feathery, flowing skirts and peasant tops. PERSONALITY Growing up in the Weasley family, she learned to share and be caring at a young age. She's very family-oriented and puts her family and those she considers family -- i.e. Harry, Hermione and her other close friends -- before herself. She's a very strong-willed individual, which she inherited from her mother. She's humble and very accepting, and has learned to appreciate the little things in life. Growing up with Fred and George, you learn that anything is possible if you've got enough nerve. A quote directly from her mouth that sums her up pretty well as well. Having grown up with the prankster twins as brothers, she's gained a very nice sense of humor and trouble. She doesn't seek trouble, but when it comes around, she's willing to face it. She's very stubborn and not afraid to back down when it comes to a confrontation. Ginny shares the infamous stubbornness and quick temper that seems to be present in all the Weasleys, but in her case it is tempered by reasonableness and thoughtfulness. She has a good head on her shoulders and isn’t one to jump to conclusions or get angry for no reason…or if she does she is quick to realise that it isn’t the best course of action. I mean, everyone has those moments where something just upsets them enough that they react without thinking. HISTORY Ginny was the first girl to be born into the Weasley family for generations. The Weasley is a long-standing pureblood family, although they are by no means purity nuts. They are labeled by those who hold purity in high standings as "blood traitors" due to their welcoming nature of muggles and muggle borns. And it doesn't help that her father is a nut for muggle artifacts. Further, the Weasley family is looked down upon throughout Pureblood families due to their lack of wealth. Ginny grew up with six brothers, which allowed her to become a rough-and-tumble sort of girl. She is by no means a tomboy -- anymore -- but she is far from a weak-minded girl. She gained a crush on her brother Ron's best friend, Harry Potter, during the summer after Ron's first year. Whenever Harry was around that summer -- and into her first year at Hogwarts -- she would get quiet and run out of the room, her cheeks flushed. In her own first year, she was possessed by a hexed diary, which turned out to be a Horcrux, under the control of Lord Voldemort's teenage memory. She opened the chamber of secrets under the diary's command, and was responsible for the petrification and near-death of several students. In the end, she was taken into the Chamber and left for dead -- her energy being drained away to bring the memory of Tom Riddle to life. Harry, however, came to her rescue when all hope was lost. It was with this heroic effort that Ginny's crush moved to love. Her second and third years went without much excitement, aside from the escape of Sirius Black from Azkaban in her second, and the Tri-Wizard tournament in her third. Although she appeared to have moved on from Harry -- now being able to stand in the same room as him and talk with him without getting flushed -- she still carried a torch. Her forth year, she happily joined up with Harry's secret DADA group; Dumbledore's Army. When he was banned from the Gryffindor Quidditch team, she took up his post as Seeker. When Harry thought Sirius was in trouble in the Ministry of Magic, Ginny was stubborn and forced Harry to allow her to go with him -- along with Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood and obviously Harry, Ron and Hermione. She fought valiantly alongside the Golden Trio and the toughest members of the DA. That following summer, she spent most of her time at the Burrow with the Trio -- avoiding Pleghm and having fun. When the school year came around, she again joined the quidditch team, this time as a chaser. The year went without event aside from arguments with her brother over who she dated -- as she'd become quite popular with the boys -- and of him being a hypocrite. Eventually, Harry came to his senses and kissed Ginny, resulting in their short-lived relationship. The night that the Death Eaters attacked, Ginny fought once more alongside Hermion, Ron, Neville and Luna -- a drop of Felix Felicis enough to keep her lucky enough to never be hit by any of the jinxes. It was at the funeral for Headmaster Albus Dumbledore where Harry broke off their relationship. "It's for some stupid, noble reason, isn't it?" was all she said, and that was that. That summer, the war began. She was "enjoying" -- I use that term loosely -- the company of her future sister-in-law for a good portion of the summer, busy helping her mother prepare for the upcoming wedding. Even when Harry and Hermione joined the Weasleys at the Burrow, the majority of their time was spent doing things around the house, even unnecessary tasks which it appeared Mrs. Weasley was only giving them to keep the Golden Trio from communicating, from planning the inevitable. Ginny had no time, really, to talk to Harry until his birthday rolled around. She found herself alone in the bedroom with him, and before she knew it, they were snogging -- only to be interrupted by her brother. They didn't talk much after that, and Ginny was left to wonder what was going on in the Chosen Boy's mind. Little did she know, that was the end of the calm. Bill and Fleur's wedding came, and in the midsts of it, there was an interruption. Kingsley Shacklebolt sent a message that the Minister was dead and Death Eaters were on their way. Chaos ensued. People screamed as Death Eaters interrupted the festivities. Fortunately, no one was harmed and the Trio escaped. While they were off on their adventure, Ginny was forced to return back to school -- and very unhappy about it. She tried her best to keep her mind off of what was going on in the outside world. That is until Professor Snape, the traitor that he was, took up post as Headmaster as well as two of Voldemort's other Death Eaters taking up positions as teachers. Ginny wouldn't stand for this. It was bad enough she was stuck in this school, unable to help in the real world. But to have to stand by while they infiltrated her school? No, not happening. She began a resistance of sorts. Getting herself -- and others -- in trouble, which resulted in beatings and torture. We all know how that all went, eventually leading to the Room of Requirements being used as a safe haven for the kids who had stood up against the Death Eaters. And the Room also allowed for the infiltration of Harry and his reinforcements as the Battle at Hogwarts began. Her parents told her to stay in the Room of Requirements. And she did, at first, until the room needed to be evacuated. After that, she jumped in head first into the battle. In the end, Ginny was going toe to toe with Bellatrix Lestrange, only to be stopped by her mother, who inevitably killed the wench. The fight ended as Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter, and Ginny was as relieved as anyone else. Things calmed after that. The school was rebuilt over the summer -- though some of it was still left destroyed by curses, unable to be repaired -- and Ginny returned for her final year following that summer. While Voldemort may have been gone, for good, there were still some of his followers causing trouble. As such, she signed up for Auror training after graduating. Sometime after leaving Hogwarts, Harry and herself decided to give it another go, attempting to reconcile the relationship they once had to stop. The relationship blossomed, and life was pretty casual and relaxing in the following years, with little interesting things happening. Harry and Ginny, now married, are preparing to start a family and settle down for good -- with Ginny's Auror training finally complete, and both with a steady job. ![]() ![]() A LITTLE ABOUT THE PLAYER Name: Charlotte Age: 20 E-mail: littiestweasiey@aol.com AIM: littiest weasiey | |||||||||
